Mapei Ultrabond P990 1K

Application

Bonding of all types and sizes of parquet with tongue and groove, veneer parquet and duo-planks. Not suitable for application of on the underside lacquered, solid veneer parquet and traditional solid parquet without tongue and groove. Examples of applications Ultrabond P990 1K is used for bonding veneer parquet, lamella parquet, planks and all types of parquet on: cement screeds; screeds made with Mapecem, Mapecem Pronto, Topcem, Topcem Pronto and similar products; old wooden floors, ceramics, marble, etc.; anhydrite screeds. Suitable for heated substrates.

Technical features

Ultrabond P990 1K is a moisture-curing polyurethane resin-based adhesive developed in MAPEI’s laboratories and has the following characteristics:

• Ready-to-use one-component product; mixing with a hardener is unnecessary. If stored correctly, leftover quantities of the product can be reused later;
• Suitable for floorers who are allergic to epoxy-polyurethane products;
• Easy to apply, even at low temperatures;
• 30% greater efficiency compared to traditional two-component adhesives, thanks to the adhesive’s low viscosity and good spreadability even at low temperatures;
• Excellent adhesive relief and excellent coverage on the back of the tiles;
• very low expansion, parquet remains flat after laying;
• Free of solvents or substances that give off an unpleasant odor;
• Has a low environmental impact; certified by the GEV (EC1 R Plus) Institute as a product with very low emissions of volatile organic compounds.

Product tools

A lino/parquet comb is recommended for the Mapei Ultrabond P990. This is the chip holder with teeth B1 or B11. This leaves the right amount of glue on the surface for a quality bond.
