Decision aid
In our selection aid below you will find an overview of the required materials. You can supplement the standard package yourself with other or more materials.
masking tape
With masking tape, you can cover the walls and other items in the room that should not be covered with a floor coating. Each package contains one roll of masking tape. Do you need more? Then order an extra one.
mixing stick
With the mixing stick you mix the two components. Before applying the second coat, clean the mixing stick with a little acetone and paper towels.
Bucket
You first mix the two components together in the can of component A, after which you pour the entire contents into a bucket and mix again here. For a 3.5 liter can, a 5 liter bucket is sufficient. Do you want to mix more material at the same time? Then we recommend a larger bucket.
With a concrete-look cast floor, you pour the mixture of 2 colors together in 1 bucket.
We recommend using at least 1 bucket per layer.
spanish
We recommend using the flat trowel for the novice floor installer for the scratching layer and the notched trowel for the cast floor. The advanced floor layer only needs a flat trowel.
Brushes
You can coat hard-to-reach areas with a brush. Note: you need one brush per coat. The tool pack therefore contains two brushes.
rollers
We have rollers for applying epoxy and PU (polyurethane). If you only apply epoxy, go for the matching 25 cm rolls. Do you apply a PU topcoat? Then you need a PU roller.
The same applies to rollers: you need 1 roller per layer.
Personal protection
Spilling epoxy or polyurethane on your skin can irritate it. Therefore, always wear long sleeves / long pants so that you are protected. In the tool pack you will find a good pair of gloves.
Our advice: use 1 set of gloves per person per layer.
denim shoes
You can use denim shoes to walk over the coating. This leaves a minimal print. Then use the roller again to smooth the surface.
deaeration roller
You can remove any air bubbles that have formed with a deaeration roller. This way you get an even result.
Other supplies:
The following products are not included, but you should have them at home:
- A drill on which you can attach the mixing rod
- A roll bar to fix the paint roller on
